Description
A cabochon-cut local stone from Tromsø stands at the center of the narrow Fråst ring, surrounded by the collection's characteristic sand-cast surface. The inspiration comes from the northern Norwegian winter, where frost leaves its mark on the Arctic mountains.
Each ring is individually made through sand casting, where the goldsmith processes the sand mold by hand before the silver is cast. The stones are picked by our goldsmiths in the mountains around Tromsø with permission from the landowners, before being polished and set by hand. Small variations in stone and surface are a natural part of the process.
