We clean silver using ultrasound and a polishing drum. This provides a thorough cleaning without having to disassemble the brooch, and is particularly suitable for traditional silver with many details.
Cleaning is carried out continuously, and your jewelry is usually ready within 2–3 business days after delivery.
If you want to have the silver ready by May 17th, we recommend submitting it well in advance.
When cleansing becomes more extensive
In some cases, a standard cleaning is not enough. If the silver has been poorly maintained over time, it may be necessary to take the brooch apart to achieve a good result. This is a more time-consuming job, where each element is treated separately before being put back together. For this type of work, the price starts from 2540,-, depending on size and condition.
Maintenance of Bunad silver
Regular maintenance makes a big difference, both in terms of appearance and how thorough the cleaning becomes over time.
A few simple steps can make the job easier:
- Store the silver dry, preferably in an airtight bag.
- Lightly wipe the silver after use before putting it away.
- Clean regularly, rather a little every year than less often and more extensively
